This week I decided to do the “Creating 3D Environments in Blender” course by Rob Tuytel on Udemy. My aim is to try and learn some quality tips from a professional environmental artist.
Rob Tuytel is an Environmental artist from the Netherlands. He is known for creating spectacular medieval Dutch scenes that look like paintings.
I hoping some of his techniques could help me create an image of similar quality but in a different setting and time period. I believe I can use my knowledge of more modern texturing workflows using substance painter and designer along with what I learn in the course to create something that really stands out.
So far the course is a little out of date, and it mostly covers things I already knew, but I hope that when I get to subjects I’m less versed in I will learn a lot more.
This is the first building I have created on the course.
